Question by Living for the moment: what are some jobs that involve writing and/or music?
anything at all. and what are some good majors too. i’m having trouble deciding what i want to major in/ have a career in. i’m smart too, so almost anything is an option. i have experience with both. i’m considering a writing type major and a music type minor or maybe a double minor in music type and french. i want a good job that will give me money. travel would be good too, but i know a lot of people want that too.

some major i’ve been considering are journalism and broadcasting.
btw-my dream job is a songwriter, combing both.

any ideas are welcome, just please make them legit. no rude comments please.

*i’m also open to other suggestions too. i need something creative. i don’t want to major in business and the only subject that i’m horrible with is science so anything medical is out.

You could work in advertising: creating and selling ad ideas, which can be very lucrative if your ideas are popular. If you’re interested in the media side, you can always look into jobs involving film and media, like starting off as a sound technician.

A more risky but ultimately very rewarding outlet is working online: you can write a blog involving commentating and/or creating music, build a large follower base, and earn off an AdSense account. Same thing with Youtube – if you put up original videos of you songs, get a large base of subscribers, and become a Youtube Partner, you can earn money off the ads you choose.

Just on the writing side, you can teach English, perhaps abroad if you wish to go traveling.

These are just some random ideas, but I hope they help.
